Anticipated Fuel Costs

Fuel costs can vary considerably according to the time of year, weather conditions and most importantly your individual level of usage.
Our cottage prices are deliberately not inclusive of fuel costs as we wish to encourage our guests to control their energy useage.
We are members of the "Green Tourism Business Scheme" and support as far as we are able any measures to protect the environment for future generations. 

To give you some idea we have listed below the normal range of fuel costs we would expect to see for each cottage.
These however are given as a guide only and are not absolute minimums or maximums.
Please note we will charge at no more than the cost we have to pay for the supply of fuel and normally this will be at lower than actual cost.

Meters in each cottage for each supply are read on the day of your arrival and again on the day of your departure and the costs calculated according to your usage. 

'Woodbine' and 'Moncks Green' have LPG (gas) central heating and of course electricity. Both supplies are metered in each cottage.

'Applecross' is all electric and has night storage heaters. Both day and night storage usage are metered. 

'Clematis' is all electric with convector heaters (this cottage does not have night storage heaters). There is a single meter for this cottage.

'Foxglove' and 'Cow-mumble' have oil fired central heating and of course electricity. Both supplies are metered in each cottage.
