Animals Galore

Let your child feed a pig, stroke a donkey, meet a sheep, walk amongst our pet rabbits and hear a cockerel crow. Don’t forget the ducks and peacock - just open your cottage door and they'll be waiting to be fed.

Take a stroll and meet Rasha, Streakie and Pork, our three Kune Kune Pigs; or Alfie and Archie, our two miniature donkeys; or Apache, our Skewbald Donkey, and his pal Pete, our Dartmoor Pony. The sheep and alpacas help to keep the grass cut as they wander around the pond and river whilst buzzards soar above.

This is Knowle Farm - a paradise for little children and animal lovers alike.

Fantastic Facilities

Go for a dip in our indoor heated pool or play tennis overlooking wonderful country views.

Our purpose built indoor soft play area with ball pool and lots of fun toys is incredibly popular with the little ones. In the same room are table tennis and a pool table, so the grown-ups can have fun too.

We can offer our guests discounts at several local restaurants and attractions, including an adventure activities company and a spa treatment center.

Toddler Race Track and Walk-in Rabbit Enclosure
After months of preparation we are very pleased to announce that our purpose built childrens race track with rubber play surface and walk-in rabbit and guinea pig enclosure is now open! The outer area provides an enclosed, safe play environment for young children with ride on toys and a fun tractor tyre tunnel, while the inner area houses a walk in rabbit/guinea pig enclosure. New arrivals
  • Just hatched on 7th June we have 15 fluffy yellow and brown ducklings currently keeping warm under the lamp for all to see PLUS hatched on 13th June 9 teeny fluffy bantam chicks who when they want to keep warm hide under their mum. 
  • After a visit from a ram-for-hire last December we are now pleased to announce the arrival of baby lambs at Knowle Farm. You can see some pictures via our Twitter feed below.
  • Five fluffy gold and brown goslings are now being proudly displayed by their Canada Geese parents around our pond, having spent four patient weeks keeping their eggs warm on the island.
  • Running around the cottages lots of young chickens have joined the older hens and cockerels (they hatched in March). 
  • We have adopted three new rabbits which are happily enjoying their huge new walk-in enclosure. Their names are Lily (an 'Old English'), Patrick and Daisy (both 'Lionheads').
