There is a cancellation excess applicable in the policy and to waive this excess there is an additional premium of £5.00 per booking (for 2008 the excess is £40 unless otherwise stated in the policy). Should you require this you must state clearly on the booking form you send us that this extra coverage is required and include the additional premium with your payment.
It is recommended that you do purchase cancellation insurance as once you have booked you may be liable for the full cost of the booking - see the booking form - the premium must be added to your deposit paid at the time of booking to effect coverage. Also please note the following Policy Summary and Key Facts:
Coverage is subject to the policy terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions within the policy. Please note the full details soon as you receive your policy. Significant exclusions or limitations Cover is not provided where at the time of taking out this insurance: 1. The Insured Person (this shall mean any individual named on the booking form): (i) is aware of any set of circumstances which could reasonably be expected to give rise to a claim. (ii) has suffered from a chronic or recurring illness during the previous twelve months 2. The person whose condition gives rise to a claim: (i) is receiving, or on a waiting list for, inpatient treatment in a hospital or nursing home; or (ii) is awaiting the results of ant tests or investigations: or (iii) is pregnant and the pregnancy was more than 28 weeks at the end of the journey: or (iv) is travelling against the advice of a Medical Practitioner or for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment; or (v) has been given a terminal prognosis. 3. In respect of disinclination to travel or financial circumstances (other than qualifying redundancy). Please note that when you purchase the insurance you are declaring on behalf of the persons to be insured (as listed in the booking form) that there are no circumstances that could reasonably be expected to give rise to a claim. A certificate of insurance with details will be sent to to you on receipt of the premium. If you are not totally satisfied you may cancel your coverage by returning the certificate of insurance within 14 days of the date of issue and prior to the start of your holiday and the premium will be refunded.
